Top 3 YA Fiction Series

There are so many great series out there to read, so little time. Here, to make it easier for you, the reader, i (and my twin) have compiled a list of my Top 3 Young Adult Fiction Series. Hope it makes your reading choices easier and your reading experiences more exciting!

3. The Gone Series

In order of books, the series is: Gone(2008), Hunger(2009), Lies(2010), Plague(2011), Fear(2012) and Light(2013).

This series is based in the small town of San Perdido where a 14 year old named Sam Temple is going about his day when BAM! everyone over the age of 14 has suddenly disappeared. To his and his peers dismay, not a single adult in San Perdido is to be found. Sam and his friends later discover that as soon as you turn 15 you are also flashed out of this reality…. to somewhere unknown.

The children cannot leave San Perdidio as a giant shock forcefield has appeared around the circumference of the city. They are sure that the adults are on the other side of the forcefield.

As bad as it is, some of the kids start developing strange powers… some more powerful than others. Some people from a strange school with strange powers join the kids of San Perdido school and try to put some order into place. However, Sam and the others soon find out that they are not to be trusted…

This book has amazing attention to detail and i would definitely recommend it to YA readers. If you are in need of a long series that fails to bore you, go to the Gone!

4 out of 5 stars!

2. The Maze Runner Series

This is an awesome series that was so fun to read for me, so full of adventure… i couldnt stop reading all three books! They tell stories of emotional instability and the physical urges to kill this or fight that, all the while, our main character Thomas is putting together an army of friends to take down W.I.C.K.E.D and free the earth of the meddling disease that riddles peoples brains and slowly makes them insane.

This series of books (Maze Runner, Scorch Trials, Death Cure, Kill Order, The Fever) is so on-point about every characters feelings, it puts me right in James Dashner(author)’s world and its like im a Runner looking for a way out of the maze to escape from the horrible, murderous Grievers.

5 out of 5 stars!

  1. The Hunger Games

In series order: Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay.

This is, by far, the best YA Fiction book series to me! It tells a tale of Katniss Everdeen volunteering for her sister to go into the monstrous hunger games, where kids over the age of 12 fight to the death. There are 12 districts, and an unknown 13th that got destroyed in the Dark Times. Two people over the age of 12 go into the games to fight, one boy, one girl. The last person remaining, the victor, is showered with gifts and anything they could possibly want in life.

Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark (both district 12) go into the Hunger Games and when they are the last two remaining, refuse to kill each other. They threaten the game makers to make them win together, and succeed. The next book, Catching Fire, gets all the victors to face off in one big hunger games. but the gamemakers have yet to know katniss, peeta and a few others are plotting an escape…

This book is so exciting, fast paced and well-written, Suzanne Collins (the author) deserves to be the victor of Earth!

A must read! Five out of five stars!

Make sure to stay on my channel for the next review… which is The Haunting by Alex Bell, same author of Frozen Charlotte! >:-D
